Coconut milk fast and easy

Preparing coconut milk from dried, shredded coconut is actually very easy and quick.

All purpose blender or a high performance blender.
Actually, I used a normal blender for over many years and it worked just fine, the results are different, not that smooth and I always blended everything a little longer (like 5 min instead of 3)
A Vitamix or similar high performance blender works best.

2 cups of organic coconut flakes (unsweetened)
4 cups of filtered water, boiled

In a Blender, combine the shredded coconut and boiled water.
(it does not have to boil anymore, when you pour it in)

  • Blend for about 3-5 minutes
  • Pour mixture through a sieve, cheese cloth or nut milk bag to separate liquid from coconut pieces. (or you leave it in there if it does not bother you)
  • Store coconut milk in the refrigerator to use as needed.
  • Keep the coconut pulp cook with it for e.g. asian food
